DESCRIPTION:Creative mindfulness is a relaxation for your mind. Join Libby as she guides you through a series of mindful-meditative practices using drawing to help you focus. Using all the senses\, it will guide you to a place of calm. Perfect for those living with dementia\, their carers\, or anyone wanting to live in the moment for an hour or so. No artistic skill is necessary!\n\nLibby is a strong believer in the power of creativity and mindfulness to support mental health\, stress management\, sleep and relaxation. As an art teacher of 9 years\, she has now turned to using these skills to support all ages in the community to help them get some headspace and live more mindfully.\n\nThis event forms part of Thatcham Town Council’s Dementia Action Week 2024

SUMMARY:Dementia Action Week Garden Party
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a friendly chat over tea\, cake and live music as we get together and socialise for Dementia Action Week.\n\nOpen to all\, the Garden Party aims to support and raise awareness for individuals and families affected by dementia. Free refreshments can be enjoyed in the garden\, whilst listening to live music from local musician Sion Wiley who will be playing acoustic songs from across the decades. There will also be the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative piece of artwork designed to highlight our community. \n\nThere is no obligation to get involved with the activities\, those who just wish to come along and have a chat and a hot drink are equally as welcome. Perhaps you are just keen to get out of the house and meet new people? Whatever your reasons for wanting to come along\, we just hope you do!\n\nThere is no need to book\, just turn up on the day!
